Ladies Invited To Appreciate Their Favourite Dresses At Charity Celebration
A bride who was fortunate sufficient to acquire married twice is giving other females the likelihood to appreciate their wedding dresses uk for a second time.
Dr Marjorie Boissinot, a Leeds cancer scientist who's funded by Yorkshire Cancer Investigation, has organised a Wedding Dress Party at the Pavilions of Harrogate to raise important funds for the Harrogate-based charity.
Marjorie is initially from France and married her English husband at a ceremony in Leeds earlier this year, but as numerous of her family members and buddies could not travel to England, she held a second celebration in France in August.
She mentioned: "All my pals, colleagues and everyone I met along the way told me how fortunate I was to acquire to put on my one shouldered prom dresses twice and how much they would like to wear theirs again. Yorkshire Cancer Study encourages its scientists to fundraise and so I decided to organise the 'Wear your wedding dress again' fundraiser.
"We decided to extend it to celebration dresses as well, as not everybody has a wedding dress but most girls have a glam dress that is kept inside the wardrobe, waiting for an opportunity to be worn."
Marjorie is hoping to raise ?1,000 throughout the evening, which involves a tombola and raffle. There will also be a presentation of personalised fragrances and pamper merchandise by Kris d'Amour. Kris Wronski was a health-related scientist at St James's University Hospital, Leeds, and has made a array of all-natural pamper items and presents a personalised fragrances service. He will give a percentage of the sales he makes around the evening to Yorkshire Cancer Investigation.
Marjorie has also received generous donations from Outrage Jewellery, Peter Maturi Harrogate, The Flower Area, JAM HAIR and Boots for the raffle.
